Porsche Used Cars – The Beautiful 911

Used Porsche cars like the 911 model is the one vehicle I think everyone thinks of when they dream of the Porsche brand. With so many other models born from the 911 brand, this article will take a look at these other cars (which are less famous than their big brother, the Porsche 911), but still very stylish and really fast. Researching older Porsche 911s from 2005, the turbo had a 480 horsepower twin-turbo engine and the handling of this vehicle is excellent in high-speed performance situations.

Porsche decided that it wanted to be a little flashier with its 911 branding, so it introduced the 911 GT3. You’ll notice that most of these 911 GT3s have eye-catching paint jobs, which means you’ll see plenty of them in orange, bright yellow, and lime green, to name a few. These also came with all-wheel drive and the glass roof was standard on the 911 GT3. Porsche Motor Company realized that the GT3 wasn’t fast enough, so the following year it introduced the GT2, which now had a 530-horsepower twin-turbo engine. These Porsche 911 GT2s also featured loud paint jobs.

Both the GT3 and GT2 come with a six-speed manual transmission, there’s also the option of having the famous Tiptronic S, which are paddle shifters seen on a Formula One race car.

I was only able to find one stat for the fuel economy of the Porsche 911 GT2. The GT2 has 18.8 liters per 100 km for city driving and 8.9 liters per 100 km for highway driving. Not exactly your favorite green car for city driving, but imagine most 911 GT2 owners don’t care.

Let’s look at some pros and cons of the different 911 models:

1- It has been commented that they are problems with the pistons.
2- There is a problem with the anti-flooding system.
3- There are problems with the engine oil seals.
4- There have been complaints that the transmission does not work properly when changing gears.

I couldn’t find any reports on safety crash tests done on the GT2 or GT3. The Porsche 911 family are very expensive cars even if you buy them second hand; They seem to hold their value for a long time. They’re also an expensive car to maintain, so if you decide to buy a used one, don’t be surprised when the mechanic gives you the bill.
