Come to Friendly Ireland and learn English!

Ireland: One of the friendliest countries in the world!

Lonely Planet, the world’s largest travel guide publisher, has named Ireland one of the ten friendliest countries on Earth. Ireland was listed in Lonely Planet’s new book 1000 Ultimate Experiences, along with Fiji, Indonesia, Malawi, Samoa, Scotland, Thailand, Turkey, USA and Vietnam.

The national tourism development authority welcomed the mention. His research on the experiences of visitors to Ireland showed that the warmth and hospitality of the Irish are the most significant assets that set Ireland apart from other holiday destinations.

Mr Quinn said: “Over the years, our research has consistently found that the warmth and friendliness of our people, along with our green landscapes and scenery, are the biggest draws for foreign visitors.”

Not only tourists appreciate these features. A recent Indecon report on the EFL sector in Ireland showed that more than half of visiting language students chose Ireland because of the friendliness of the Irish.

The Irish word “fáilte” meaning “welcome” and Ireland is often referred to as the Land of Céad Míle Fáilte, literally one hundred thousand welcomes.

Dublin is the capital of Ireland. It is a very old city that is rich in architecture, history, music and culture. There are many things to do and see, including the Guinness Storehouse, the Jameson Distillery, a walk along the River Liffey or even some shopping on Grafton Street. The night life is excellent and Temple Bar is famous among tourists from all over the world.
