I would start cold calling companies and schools and create a good sales pitch for my calls and practice it on a daily basis, contacting at least 200 prospects a day, yes I said 200.

Look, your goal here is to fill your sales pipeline with as many new prospects as you can in the beginning.

Then your next goal is to follow up with as many of those same prospects as you can.

It is also important to develop a great attitude while doing your sales activities.

Because if you don’t have one, the next step won’t matter at all.

This will give you the opportunity to wow them with your coaching style and connect with them on a more personal level.

Look at every tennis prospect you get like, Long-term relationship.

They are 5 years or more and that means you give them value for 5 years, and this goes way beyond court.

Help your students in any way you can, this could help them find good teachers, schools, and places to shop.

Become a great resource to them and they will give you tons of free word of mouth marketing.

And the last tip here.

Take advantage of those relationships.

See your students as part of your extended and growing family.

Don’t look at them as just another student in your program, because if you do, you won’t be able to connect with them in a way that encourages them to give you tons of referrals.

The fact is that referrals are earned by providing great service.

If you are not getting many referrals, then you are providing average or below average service to your students.

Which will actually put you in the same ranking as 90% of the other sports clubs out there.

I was reading somewhere that 85% of the people who work in these clubs don’t like their job and to that I tell them, “Great, then figure out what you like to do and go do it for the rest of your life.” .

Coaching tennis should be your passion and if it isn’t then sit down today and find out what it is and find a way to get paid.
