Free for a small fee?

This phrase may seem like a paradox, but believe me it is not. Many websites offer free, high-quality material that, sadly, is rarely free. In this article I want to show you how to avoid those pitfalls, because you definitely can’t call it free stuff.

When someone gives me free stuff like an email address (for example), I expect this email to be free, and I mean any charge, not just money but also free from tons of ads and other things. I understand that online companies want to do and this is fine (in fact, we are using free things to reduce our expenses, so this is the other side of the same coin), but why those companies cannot say: you do not have to pay this email, but you must see our ad one hour a day. Now this probably wouldn’t attract attention, but it would be true.

So here are some rules of thumb, how to avoid free stuff junk:

1. Never sign up for free stuff where gifts offered are paid for on other similar sites, this especially includes e-books, reports and other informational products.

2. Never reply to emails from unknown sources, where the sender offers you valuable free stuff like watches or even iPods just for replying to your email. It may seem like a real deal, but rest assured that the person who contacted you is a spammer, remember that you are safe as long as they DO NOT reply.

3. Be wary of surveys where you can earn a vacation or even a car for completing the survey, although this may be a real deal, keep in mind that they may (and probably will) want you to complete some related offers where have to buy something to be able to complete survey, as I said at the beginning, this is not really free.

4. One more thing, there are numerous websites on the internet that offer free stuff or even money for your opinion and your personal information, they will have countless reasons why they need your personal information, but NEVER give them this information, especially when you do not post your contact information and the website looks suspicious. Just remember that your personal information and privacy are worth much more than the few dollars they offer you.

Following these few rules will help you avoid most scammers who are trying to trick you into thinking they really have something of value to offer.

Anyway, I wish you the best of luck in your search for free stuff because there are so many great deals on the net, you just have to know where to look for them.
