Manage your environment and go first class

I have been reading “The Magic of Thinking Big” and just finished chapter seven. It’s called “Manage Your Environment: Go First Class.” I’m going to take some things I learned from him and try to help you.

The entire basis of this chapter is self explanatory. Are you managing your environment well? Successful people are positive thinkers. They surround themselves with other positive thinkers. Negativity can really bring you down. Negative people are the “little people.” Negative people are usually unsuccessful and they are the ones with a completely different perspective on everything. They don’t fight for positivity. They sit in life and complain about everything. They ask “why me?” and his work ethic is completely terrible.

If you have something great in your life, negative people will try to bring you down. They don’t want to see you succeed because they know they are failing and they want to see you fail too! They are the ones who are jealous of successful people and the ones who gossip about people. That brings me to another point in the chapter. This is truly something that everyone should have heard at some point in their life. If you can’t say something nice about someone, then don’t say anything! That’s really the point I’m about to talk about.

When you gossip about people, it usually makes you feel bad in some way. If you don’t feel bad, then there must be something wrong with you. In addition to making you feel bad, it makes you look fake. Let’s say you and Bob are gossiping about Bill and five minutes later he walks over and you’re on your good side too. For one thing, people can usually tell that you’re acting differently, so it’s obvious that something was said to offend someone. For two, that makes you look like a hypocrite.

Try to find the good in everyone. If you are surrounded by negative people and all they do is gossip, then stay away from them! Surround yourself with positive thinkers. Here’s an idea: Discover new and exciting things to do in new groups! Hang out with a new circle of people and don’t be afraid to make friends! Part of going first class is always having something exciting on the agenda and being excited every step of the way! I know it can be difficult and we all slip, but put your mind back on “excitement”.

I have been very positive and enthusiastic lately and it is really helping to make my day better. Be first class in everything you do because you can’t afford to go any other way. Talk about people, but stay on the positive side and discover new things! Your journey to success lies within the positive of everything you do! When you go out in public, smile! If you can’t smile, make yourself smile big! You will notice that this may make you laugh because you realized that you probably looked funny. However, just remember that it doesn’t matter what you look like because you are you and that is all you need to be. We were all uniquely created to be different in one way or another.
