MSVCP100 Dll Error Solution

MSVCP100.dll is a system file used in the Windows 7 operating system. It is a type of Dynamic Link Library (DLL) file that is used to extract application resources at runtime from third-party programs.

An error related to this file may appear. The full description of the error is “The program can’t start because MSVCP100.dll is missing from your computer. Please try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.” This error can appear at the moment when a program fails at its startup stage.

Note: Although some websites allow you to download the file for free, I personally don’t recommend it. Because there might be some sources that provide spyware or malware files instead of the original file.

The Windows Registry should always contain the information in a systematic and structural way. Outdated registry entries, invalid data in the registry can lead to MSVCP100.dll error. That is why it is recommended to scan and repair the registry.

Scan and repair system files

System File Checker (SFC) can detect the non-existence of the file and reinstall it. To run a system file scan, first insert the Microsoft Windows installation disc. Then click Start | Run, type SFC /ScanNow and press ENTER.
