Perfect breeding!

Fathers! You want to know what I say about perfect parenting! “Hah! That will be the day!” However, in a way, it would be cool and useful to be perfect. But unfortunately, it would also be strange because nothing in this world is perfect, especially human beings. So if we were perfect parents and did our little perfect parenting thing, people would look at us as if we were strangers and not from their neighborhood. We would not fit.

And could you imagine the unrealistic expectations we would place on our poor children if we were perfect parents? The pressure on our own children would be immense! And frankly, it’s not worth it. After all, who the hell wants to live under the roof of “perfect parents”! It would do more harm than good for the well-being of our children.

So parents, the bottom line is that we cannot expect to be perfect and we cannot expect to be capable of being perfect parents. However, do you want to know what we can expect? As parents, we can expect to be blessed on a daily basis just because we are parents and have children. Children are wonderful! A bunch. Wonderful goal.

We have also been blessed that all the other millions of adults in our world who have children, we were chosen to be parents to our wonderful children. Every day is an adventure with our own children because every day we can see our children do little things for the first time. And as parents, we learn like them. We do this simply by observing and participating in their lives.

Now, as my grandfather always said: “Go learn, lead and open the way to a better world for all of us.” Remember that perfect parenting does not come out. But, we and our children exist. So let’s make the best of all our imperfect existences and make the best of it. And once again parents, thank you in advance for all that you do and all that you will do …
