In a hidden town, a young man hides inside a pile of leaves. His name is Uzumaki Naruto, a mischievous boy who attends the Ninja Academy.
Naruto was born on October 10 to Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, and Kushina Uzumaki, a ninja from the ancient Country of Whirlpools, and was named after the main character in Jiraiya’s book. When he was a newborn baby, the nine-tailed demon fox, which had attacked the Konoha village, was sealed inside Naruto’s body by his father.
Every day, he does nothing but cause mischief and make Iruka-sensei angry. And above all, it is doubtful that she can graduate from the Academy. But Naruto has a dream… A dream in which he will become the head of the Ninja village, following the Hokage and become the best ninja in the place.
Despite the Fourth Hokage’s wish that Naruto be seen as a hero containing the demon, the villagers of Konoha harbored a fierce hatred for the boy, as he carried the spirit of the demon that decimated their once-peaceful village. Naruto didn’t even realize the presence of the demonic entity within him until he was twelve years old, leaving him confused for most of his childhood as to why the Konoha villagers hated him so much.
However, all the adults in the village give Naruto a cold look. The truth is that Naruto has a secret about his birth. 12 years ago, “Kyuubi no Youko” (Nine-Tailed Fox – A kind of evil spirit that tormented the village, was sealed inside the body of Naruto, who was a baby at the time. The headmaster of the academy, Mizuki, he uses Naruto to steal the “Fujin Scrolls” and makes Naruto understand his past.
Fortunately, Naruto befriended his compassionate ninja instructor, a chunin named Iruka Umino. Although Iruka’s own parents perished at the hands of the demon fox, Iruka did not blame Naruto for his deaths. Instead, Iruka accepted Naruto and sympathized with the boy’s desire to be accepted, as he too once had the same desire. He may have been the first person to believe in Naruto and had a lasting impact on Naruto himself. It is through Iruka’s presence as Naruto’s only familiar figure that Naruto learns to overcome his sadness.
Even with Iruka’s help, Naruto barely defeats Mizuki. Knowing Naruto’s secret, Iruka knows that Naruto will find someone who will help him, and so he makes up his mind. Naruto is allowed to safely graduate from the Ninja Academy. Together with his classmates, Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura together, they take their first step as Ninjas!
