What should the SOUL of America represent?
In most political campaigns, little time and/or effort is spent trying to fully consider the options and alternatives, and articulating a positive message, explaining why one deserves the public’s trust, and explaining not just where you stand, but but how will any plan effectively address the needs and priorities, and the true costs of going ahead, compared to the risks/dangers, of just going along with the same old, same old! Too often all we hear is political rhetoric and empty promises, in an attempt to play populist politics, instead of considering the ramifications, sustainability etc! Perhaps more than ever before in recent memory the election campaign between Donald Trump and Joe Biden has turned into a battle for the DRUNK of America, and, yes, we continue to be, the land of the free/home of the brave, and example, of freedom, freedom and justice, for – all, for the rest of the world. With that in mind, this article will attempt to briefly consider, examine, review and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it is important.
1. Strengths; systems; sustainable; arrange: Haven’t these last four years, when anger, frustrations, fears, anxieties, and prejudices seemed to be catching up, created appeals to personal/political agendas and/or self-interest, rather than trying to unify us, by the greater good? We need leaders who will use our strengths, effectively, to make us a better and stronger nation! Instead of rhetoric, vitriol, blame and complaining, the soul of this country needs and deserves quality, meaningful, relevant, realistic and sustainable systems, focused on generating the solutions necessary to become the country envisioned. by our ancestors. That is, to align approaches, with all the constitutional guarantees, instead of selective and selfish approaches!
2. Options; open mind; one; opportunities: When populist rhetoric, aimed solely at inspiring mainstream supporters, is the step taken, America suffers! We need leaders who are open minded, fair, empathetic, who treat our citizens as one, instead of giving advantages to any specific sector, etc.! Only when quality options are considered, and viable alternatives, will we be protected all our freedoms, etc!
3. Only; useful; urgent; urgent; unifying: Many of us have considered our country unique because of how we protect freedoms, liberties, etc! This, traditionally, was perceived, at least, as urgent! When polarization and adversarial behavior is the path chosen, rather than unifying, for the common good, doesn’t that diminish the identity of the nation?
4. Hear; learn; lessons; leadership: Human nature is, such, no one knows everything, nor has all the answers! Therefore, we need a leader who will listen, learn, and use important lessons to better serve everyone, not just his core followers. Shouldn’t that be the essence of being a quality public servant?
Wake up, America, and learn from what we have witnessed these past four years! This election seems to be more than just the traditional political exercise, but a real search to endure the DRUNK of this nation!
