How Should America Move Forward: Forward, Profitably, and Sustainably?: 5 Specific Areas

Every public leader, whether elected or appointed etc., must be ready, willing and able to consistently move forward in a realistic, relevant and sustainable way, and therefore must emphasize certain specific areas. of our lives, in a timely and well-considered manner, combined with an open mind! Too often, we witness partisan politics, a political/personal agenda, and/or. self-interest takes precedence over doing what is right for our nation, its citizens, and the rest of the world. With that in mind, this article will attempt to briefly consider, examine, review and discuss 5 specific areas, which need to be made priorities and proactively addressed.

1. Clean Air and Water/Environmental Protections: Shouldn’t each generation take responsibility for handing over a planer to the next, with at least clean healthy air and water etc.? Over decades, it seems, our elected officials began to take this seriously and created stricter, smarter, and safer standards to ensure this, such as automobile gas mileage standards, anti-dumping regulations, and an emphasis on protecting our planet. However, we realized how trying this could be, when a one-term president could, in substantial ways, reverse decades of progress in that area. The way we proceed, in the years to come, will most likely determine the environment of our planet, etc.

2. Climate change is real!: Denying the reality of Climate Change does not magically make it disappear! We have witnessed increasingly intense storms, heat, weather conditions, droughts, etc.! Most of the rest of the world has signed the Paris Accords and is proactively creating common sense measures, once again this last American president took action against these realities etc. !

3. Public health: What could and should possibly be a higher priority than public health, etc.? During this pandemic, we have witnessed a very vocal minority refusing to cooperate, wear a mask, get vaccinated, or appear to care about the health and well-being of much of the rest of us. We must do better!

4. Medical care and prescription drugs: Wouldn’t it make sense to view quality healthcare and affordable prescription drugs as a right, rather than a privilege, for those with higher incomes, etc.? Why are our health care costs and drug prices the highest of any nation, in the rest of the world?

5. Rights, freedoms, justice, equity: Those, alleging systemic racism, is a myth, or does not exist, do not recognize, do not provide, rights, freedoms and justice – to – all, with the necessary, appropriate degree of equity, regardless of race, ethnic origin , the color of the skin and/or the ability to pay for things.

Unfortunately, the recent political use of the slogan Make America Great Again, failed to fully consider what this should mean, in terms of constitutional guarantees and a healthier planet, in all related areas. Wake up, America, and demand better, before it’s too late!
